Out of everyone in my world, why was I chosen in particular? Why were any of the individuals here chosen to represent their respective worlds, as opposed to all the millions of other potential candidates?

What's the timeline on which these decisions are made, given that not everybody's arrived at the same time? Why was my world chosen for evaluation now and not before?

Is every world represented here, and if not, which worlds have failed to qualify, and why?

Is time passing in our worlds while we're here, or can we be returned to the moment we left? Will anyone notice that we're gone?
